Service History The Beijing Chinese Activity Center (CCACC) has provided free tax declaration services in the Greater Washington area since 2013.
The ninth year has passed. At that time, Mr. Zhang Hong (Robert Chang) from the Information Department of the IRS personally negotiated with Ms. Zhang Lifang, vice president of CCACC, hoping that the center would invest resources to serve the Chinese in this area where there is very little free tax declaration service in Chinese. Later, with the support of Chairman Li Zhixiang and the Board of Directors,
This community service for free tax filing is officially launched.
The Volunteer Qualification and Team Center cooperates with the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) to train volunteers every year. They must study the latest tax laws, participate in a series of online training courses, pass the IRS exam, and obtain a certificate before joining the ranks of tax return volunteers. Each year, there are about 20 volunteers for tax filing, including retired engineers, qualified accountants, school staff and other elites from all walks of life. Some of the volunteers have continued to serve since the first year. They all said that they felt very fulfilled when they saw that many friends in the community had successfully filed tax returns, effectively saved taxes, or solved tax problems.
